FAQ

Do you clean the frame of the panels or the solar skirts?

We will clean the frames and skirts when we can access them safely and efficiently. Difficult to reach areas (including any scenario where we will need to reposition the ladder) will not be cleaned under regular maintenance as our primary focus is to clean the solar glass. If frame/skirt cleaning is important to you please call our office line for additional information and quotes.

What are the white or yellow dots on the panels?

Common in Florida, this is typically referring to bee pollen. A sticky resin like accumulation, it can be removed during restoration cleaning. We recommend leaving it to dissolve naturally if it's the only hard build up on the panels.

There are still some leaves wedged between the frame and solar glass.

For maintenance cleaning we will remove all leaf debris that we can access safely and efficiently. Difficult to reach leaves (any scenario where we will need to reposition the ladder or step on panels to access) will not be removed. We will do our best while cleaning, but some leaves may be left on the panels if they cannot be removed with the brush head. If removing all leaf debris is important to you please call our office line for additional information/quotes.

What to do if I believe there is roof or solar equipment damage as a result of cleaning?

If you discover roof or solar equipment damage has occurred as a result of the cleaning process please contact us immediately. We will always provide a remedy to damage caused by Solar Soft personnel. However, we must be given the opportunity to inspect and photograph the damaged area prior to any repair, replacement or reimbursement.

How clean will my roof look after soft washing?

It's important to note the aesthetics will only represent the cleanest version of the roofs current condition. An old, weathered roof will not yield the same result as a new roof with only several years of soiling. We will always perform a scheduled cleaning under the assumption this has already been considered by the property owner.
